ONTOGENESISDREAMLAB
ontogenesis dreams, a sideways stretching of the sensory limbs...
In times of change, you’re at your most vulnerable, you're extra-porous, stumbling, learning, taking in from your outside environment… The audience walks in on a creature in its supposed natural habitat, as it embarks on a spiritual metamorphosis. It finds itself disassembled and repurposed into a multiplicity of forms, falling, sensing, mimicking the movements of plants and insects.
ontogenesis dreams: a sideways stretching of the sensory limbs is a collaborative hybrid of performance and installative environment choreographed and performed by Astrid Tetsche Sweeney with sculpture & scenography by Weixin Quek Chong.

ontogenesis dreams... was selected for the inaugural Esplanade Contemporary Performance Research Residency. A first iteration was developed for and showcased in the Esplanade on 28 June 2022.

The work will have its premiere in June 2024 with DeSingel Arts Centre
